The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) is one of five
Department of Energy (DOE) nanoscale science research centers. This
state-of-the-art facility is jointly operated by Sandia National
Laboratories and the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The facility
encompasses a core facility with two gateway facilities, one located at SNL
and the other located at LANL. CINT provides a foundation for the
development of nanotechnologies, which are important to the Department of
Energy in its primary mission areas of national defense, energy and the
environment. The CINT Core Facility adds a critical dimension to the
nanoscale science research center complex by interfacing nanomaterials with
the micro and macro worlds. One of the primary goals of the CINT Core
Facility is to provide an interdisciplinary environment that can serve the
scientific community, including those from government, university and
private sectors.
The facility is pursuing the LEED®
certification.
