State University hosted this year's Buildings for Advanced
Technology Workshop II (BAT Workshop II) on January
21-23, 2004 following the great success
of last year's Buildings for Advanced Technology Workshop
(BAT) held at the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) campus
in Maryland. This year's conference was held at the
Mesa Centennial Conference Center, Mesa Arizona.
BAT Workshop II focused on
developing a connection between the emerging science
and a range of technical factors to consider during
the design and construction of advanced technology facilities
that will be needed to support the next generation of
Nano-, Bio-, Micro- technology
research and production.
This year's conference extended the topics covered last
year to include the following:
Defining the Science Needs
Outlining Trends and Developing Solutions
Protecting the Investment
Following the workshop, attendees enjoyed a round of
golf at the
beautiful Kokopelli course (click
here for the workshop participants feedback).
