Buildings for Advanced Technology Workshop Feedback

Buildings for Advanced Technology Workshop was attended by 125 scientists, architects, engineers, technologists and builders from all over the world. Attendees from the UK, Spain, Ireland, Canada, Brazil, Italy and the United Stated who participated in the workshop came from 69 different organizations.

The attendees rated the workshop's technical content and presenters as good, very good, and excellent. The workshop closing session included a tour of NIST Advanced Measurement Laboratory (AML). This was an opportunity for the attendees to review on site the different aspects involved in the design and construction of the advanced technology building discussed during the workshop.

We compiled a selection of responses we received to share with you:
"Enjoyed meeting so many people involved in advanced laboratory building" B. B., MD USA
"Great mix of participants and speakers" Anonymous
"Very informative and good interaction" P.C., Dublin Ireland
"Well organized, generally excellent content, well paced" Anonymous
"Excellent gathering of technical knowledge in the field" PD, Texas USA
"Recognizing all the issues that may be faced in the design of a high tech facility." R.G. Los Alamos NM USA

Some attendees expressed a desire for longer sessions, and more time for networking opportunities. The Committee listened to those recommendations, and BAT Workshop II accommodates those suggestions.
